Being our first official meeting for W.A.R, we thought "What better topic to start off this organization?" We had the privilege to hear form Dr. Jeff Porter, a former student-athlete, and hear his experiences during his athletic career.
A conversation on racial microaggresions

Our December meeting focused on micro aggression awareness, specifically through the lens of racial bias. We discussed what exactly a micro aggression is, who they come from, and how our society facilities them everyday.
Where do we go from here

The first event of 2021! We range in the new year with a department-wide conversation about what direction we want the department's racial injustice conversations to go in. Alumna Casey Bufford and Mira Shane acted as keynote speakers.
